From 1953 to 2012, Lee Motor has received several awards that we are extremely proud of, including James (Jim) Lee’s TIME Magazine Quality Dealer Award for North Carolina in 1970 and John Lee being a National Finalist in 1987 for the Automotive Hall of Fame Award for Young Leadership and Excellence.

2023 TIME Ally Dealer of the Year for North Carolina
John Lee was named the TIME Ally Dealer of the Year for North Carolina in 2023, making him North Carolina’s nominee for the national award. This award is given to the most successful automotive dealers who are also dedicated to community service and supporting the industry. Lee was one of a select group of nominated dealers who were honored at the National Automobile Dealers Association Show in January 2023.
According to Doug Timmerman, the president of dealer financial services at Ally: “Auto dealers across the country who are nominated for this award each year are committed to not only doing it right and leading in a rapidly changing automotive industry but to strengthening their communities through giving back.”
